Where do we put our garbage?
There are 4 categories of garbage: 1. Household, 2. Recyclables, 3. Large Household, and 4 Rennovation Materials. (1) Household garbage must be placed in small kitchen garbage bags and deposited in garbage chutes between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. (2) Recyclable waste should be placed in the chute within the recycling rooms located adjacent to the garbage compactor on P1. (3) Very large household garbage items are placed in the 88 Grandview Way garbage compound. To dispose of large household items, contact the Property Management Office or gatehouse during the week, or the gatehouse during the weekend, to arrange for opening of the garbage compound. (4) Rennovation garbage is disposed of at the city sites. Residents must arrange for disposal of rennovation material. No renovation material of any kind is allowed in the garbage bins anywhere within Grandview Way.
Where should I dispose of my old furniture, appliances, TVs and computers?
Contact the Property Management Office or gatehouse during the week and the gatehouse during the weekend. A Superintendent will open the garbage compound at 88 Grandview Way.
Garbage smells when we walk through the walkway out to the gate. What should we do if we encounter these smells?
Although we have a deodorizer system set up in the various garbage compactor rooms, depending on what residents dump in the garbage and what the outside temperature is, we may still have odours. Contact the Property Manager when this happens and we will adjust the deodorant spray. Also, there should be no medical waste desposted into the garbage.
What items can be recycled?
